VUO legal
Application Terms
These Terms apply when you submit a future VUO Founding Members application. Requesting access or joining the waitlist alone does not accept these Terms. The Privacy Notice explains how VUO uses personal data and is not itself an agreement or consent.
1. Who may apply
You must be at least 18 years old and apply only for yourself. VUO may limit an application round by country, capacity, readiness criteria, or other disclosed requirements. You may not submit an application for another person or use a false identity.
2. Your application
By submitting, you confirm that the information is your own and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not knowingly omit information where doing so would make an answer misleading. Once submitted, answers become read-only for that application round. Contact support@vuolabs.com if you believe a material correction is required.
Applying does not create a right to selection, membership, access, purchase, or receipt of any VUO product or service. Selection for a founding-members round is at VUO’s discretion, subject to applicable law. VUO may pause, close, or change an application round and may reject duplicate, abusive, unsafe, ineligible, or incomplete applications.
3. Sensitive application answers
Some questionnaire answers may reveal health-related or other sensitive information. Before those answers are saved, VUO asks for a separate explicit consent for the application-review purpose. You may choose not to give that consent, but then you cannot continue into the sensitive questionnaire. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
4. Data that must not be uploaded
The application account does not allow you to upload raw DNA files, genetic-variant data, saliva information, blood-test files or values, or NorthStream customer health questionnaire sessions or answers. Do not place those data in free-text application fields or send them by ordinary email. Any later customer workflow uses an approved supplier-hosted path and a separate customer-onboarding notice and consent.
5. Account and private-link security
Keep your application email, sign-in link, password, authentication factors, and account access private. Do not forward a private access link or let another person answer for you. Notify support@vuolabs.com if you believe access has been compromised. Your application account does not grant access to Omicron, NorthStream operations, supplier administration, or any VUO internal admin system.
6. Permitted use
Use the application only for its intended purpose. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, automate submissions, submit malicious content, impersonate another person, or use the application to violate law or another person’s rights. VUO may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the application process, its users, or its systems.
7. Communications and marketing
VUO may send service communications needed to create or secure your application, provide a private access link, confirm submission, communicate a status, or respond to you. Submitting an application does not give marketing consent. Any marketing choice must be requested separately and remain optional.
8. Availability and liability
VUO aims to keep the application available but does not promise uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, VUO is not responsible for indirect loss caused by unavailable access or a decision not to select an applicant. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional conduct or mandatory data-protection and consumer rights.
9. Privacy, changes, and contact
Read the Privacy Notice for processing purposes, legal bases, retention, recipients, transfers, and your rights. VUO may update these Terms for a future submission and will show the then-current version before it applies. Questions about an application may be sent to support@vuolabs.com; privacy requests may be sent to privacy@vuolabs.com.
10. Governing law and complaints
Swedish law applies, without removing mandatory rights that apply where you live. Contact VUO first to raise a complaint. You may also contact a competent supervisory, consumer-dispute, or judicial authority. These Application Terms are separate from the Membership Terms, which apply only if you are invited and later accept a membership contract.
